South/North Carolina!!

From Laura!
Hey, Tannis. Cool blog!

Yes, there are many great houses to rent on the coast. Do a search on Google for Outer Banks Rental Homes. If golfing is important, we may want to think about a bit further south, either in Wilmington, North Carolina or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There are lots of awesome places. Mid-summer is peak season, though. I don't know that we could do it, but if we did either May or September, we could get a huge 10-12 bedroom home for under 3K. If we do it in July, it is peak season and the same house may be $7-9K.

If it looks like we seriously want to do this, let me know and I'll start doing some research. We'd save a bundle if we were OK with being a street or two off the beach. Beachfront makes it a lot more pricey.

Sounds like a blast! It's up to you to talk our northerners into it!

Well, Glen and I would be in. Not sure about the kids - Steve is working, but could probably get time off with enough notice. Depends on where in the world Allie is at the time! I'm ok with September, but I'm not dealing with kids in school. Are we talking this summer 2008 or next year 2009?

Not this year for sure, maybe next year though depends on the concensus!

yo that mamma bear, i don't know where i'll be in 2 months even, so if i am to make it it would prolly be fairly last minute....but of course I would love to come!

i veto the idea of making this golf related since the kids and the kid in me want something F-U-N non??! (je vais bien sûr voire des commentaires de ça, bientôt!)

i also vote for any time its hot/theres sun

and thats my 2 euros worth...

2009 would be great - Barb and Shirley turn 75. Late June for us - not May or September. I'd love summer, but if it's too much oh well. What are the big attractions there?
